The inspiration for this cookbook came when Amy Hamilton and her international executive chef partner, Chad Mitchell, started transitioning their 20-month-old son, River, to a whole foods plant-based diet. At the time, they felt there were limited resources and support for raising a child on a plant-based diet. With that need in mind, they set out to support other health-conscious families looking to make similar changes and at the same time address the challenges that come with feeding children.
